Easy install of a Coil Ignition Re-locator part from Roland Sands Design. I changed the wiring connector setup on my Iron 883 to swap the wires for front and rear cylinders so that I could use shorter spark plug cables that don't cross over each other. Still have some clean-up to do but this is how it looks so far.
In case anyone else wants to do something similar you can easily change the wiring on connector that comes into your coil.
The coil connector on a Sportster has 2 power wires to the coil (exact same wire color yellow w/ green stripe) and then a front and back cylinder signal wire from the ECU. Just take the connector apart (no tools required) and swap the position of the front & rear cylinder wires.
Mine is setup for the Canadian market/rules so unfortunately we have a pretty big rear fender. I'd like to chop it but haven't decided on exactly how I want it to look. I'd also like to replace the signal lights and put some slick little LED units on but I'm still looking for something that is minimal, works really well and doubles as brake lights on the back.
Already put on V&H exhaust and air intake that were really nice upgrades. Have forward controls and raised the tank 3.25".
