I HAVE 07 FATBOY CANNOT DECIDE WHICH FUEL MANAGEMENT TO USE, DOBECK OR PC3. HEARD LOTS OF GOOD ABOUT PC3, ANYONE HAVE ANY EXPERIENCE WITH THE DOBECK
Yes. I didn't have a lot that I needed to accomplish. I put on a Nexx Big Sucker II and new slipons and needed to touch up the lean condition. It works perfectly for that and was a snap to install and calibrate.
I don't understand why people insist on paying the extra money and hassle for a power commander if they don't need to. Unless you doing major mods to your intake the DFO/TFI are plenty.
(Note that the Dobeck Techlusion unit is exactly the same as the Rev Tech DFO. Go with the best price.)
The PC will give you alittle more tunability such as ignition, indivdual cyl and of course endless fueling adjustments. It has great support and many use it so a tunable map is usually availble.Everyone has different plans for their bikes and this is one of them. The pc will take those wanting more down the road easier.
I had one of the new TFI models on my 07 Fatboy and was totally pleased with it. If you just want to richen up a lean bike & don't have an available computer, it's the cheapest way to go.
I have a hard time believing that if you put pipes and a high flow air cleaner on that there would be any need to remove fuel anywhere in the fuel curve, and using the o2 sensors will keep mpg up at cruise. I could be wrong, but will find out this spring when I performance slip-ons and Ness BS 1 and the Dobeck unit.
I have a 2007 Street Glide and just installed a Dobeck. I installed the HD ECM upgrade prior to the Dobeck TFI unit, The TFI is not tuning based on the pre-loaded programs. I am checking with Dobeck to validate if the HD update effected the unit. Please let me know your experience with the system. My set up: Rush slip ons 1.75 baffle. Big sucker Air cleaner and the Dobeck 1440 unit.
Recently purchased an 02 RK with 12K on the clock. Previous owner informed me before I bought it that the bike always had a exhaust pop on decel, pinging under load and engine runs very hot. It has SE air filt and Rineharts, local HD monkeys did a re-map and couldn't fix the problem. I purchased the 1040ST from Dobeck. Easy install, hardest part was running the wiring. I preset the pots as indicated in the instructions and fiddled a bit with the low speed pot, but it ended up exactly were they described in the paper work. No more popping, great acceleration, no more pinging under load and runs much cooler.
Dobeck is the best bang for the buck.

Dobeck, quickest & simplist way to go if you're not going radical. You don't see them talked about much,
but there are plenty of folks on here that run them. Install, adjust as you is needed & ride. I have one on my 07 Standard. Very nice unit...
