Ignition Switch Problem
I've got an 03 FLTRI with 65,000 miles on it. Has run flawlessly after major professional HP upgrade in 05, (all the best stuff). Two days ago all of a sudden, it stopped on the road, just as if the ignition switch was shut off! No power to anything! Pulled to side of road, flicked switch on and off 1/2 doz. times. After a few minutes, switched it to On again and everything lit up perfectly and it started right off. It ran for 5-10 miles and it died again, just like stated abobe. No Power anywher! Again after a few minutes, the ignition switch game alive and it stared right up and it worked perfectly for another 5-10 miles of riding then it did the same thing. I did make it home eventually, but it did this 6 or 7 times in the 40 miles(60 KM) it took to get home. Has anyone else had a problem like this? What was the solution? I think the Ignition Switch needs to be replaced, what do you think? (tew)

sounds to me like your system relay is going south. when it heats up, it opens and causes loss of all electrical. When it cools down, it closes and allows the flow of electrical power again. if you have a system relay and have never changed it, then change it. it's cheap insurance.
