HELP ! Will this fit?
I got a buddy with a 2002 Softail Duece. Had fuel injection and the SERT on it as well. Changed to carb and pulled the ECM along with the SERT and cables off the bike. I can get this for a deal. Wondering if the ECM will bolt into my StreetGlide which is also fule injected ? Just thought if it did, it would save me alot of money on a SERT. I knew the SERT was married to the ECM, hence why I would need to bolt his ECM in... Thanks!

Kind of a guess, but I'm going to say no. The softail is a B engine, and yours is an A. Also, although both systems are Delphi, there are significant differences in the ways the ECM's did things like heat management.

Normally it would work - it doesn't matter A or B motor. The only issue you have is that your Streetglide requires an 05 or later ecm and the other one is an 02. If they were the same vintage ECM, or his was a later version, you would simply have the dealer flash your vin into it. The tuner does not lock to the vin, it locks to the ecm.

Thanks for the replies... Thats what a buddy at the dealer told me. Said they changed theECM's etc in the later bikes...like iin 05 and later.

There are significant differences between the softail and touring models in regards to the ecm. also between the model years of 2002 to current models the ecm has been change quite drastically, so this part will not be interchangeable.
