Default Power vision help

Hey guys I'm new to all this and just installed a set of V&H big radius and tried to install my power vision. After I got the pipes on we hooked up the power vision and married it to the bike. Then we tried to flas a preconfigured tune and it says sorry there are non for my bike???!!!!!! What gives? It's an 06 heritage softail FLSTI. That had a open heavy breather and screaming eagle pipes when I bought it used at the local dealer.

So I just disconnected buttoned things up and took it on a test drive to gas station and parked it for the night. The new pipes sound AWESOME! And bike rode fine for the short distant. Def seem like I have more power just with the new V&H pipes.

Well when I got home I hooked my power vision back up to the laptop and checked the updates again just as I did the night before when I updated the firmware. All is good. So I went to dynos website manually downloaded a map they had on their site. For 06 softail 88ci the map that was for SE breather with V&H big radius saved it to slot 2 then went out and flashed my bike. It was late so didn't want to tick of the neighbor so I'll test out the tune tomorrow.

So why do you think the power vision doesn't have any pre conf tunes for my bike.

Does your bike have factory O2 sensors? If so you can use the autotune basic to fine tune it a bit.

The Power Vision is designed to work with Delphi systems with O2 sensors.
That's probably why the don't list a tune for an 06 bike (no O2 sensors). It will work fine as a flash tuner with your 06, however you give up the autotune capability as it relies on feedback from the O2 sensors.

The 06 softail map you downloaded should be good for your set-up.

Also, if you bought used, doesn't PV need to be re-programmed for a fee...?? Thought I read this somewhere...maybe not...

Be careful with the Dynojet canned maps, I have found errors in them for my bike. I use Fuel Moto's maps as a starter and go from there.

OK OK...no need to get panties in a wad. Your original post wasn't clear on where the PV came from...no need to yell (i.e. CAPS)...just trying to assist.

Fuel Moto doesn't officially provide support unless you purchased from them.

If you ask nicely in the 'Power Vision Information' section of this forum you may find other users that are willing to help you with a map. The map from the Dynojet site shouldn't be too far off.
