Agree that piniongear post, same oil into tranny/primary than in engine. Don't put too much oil.
Unless you have blocked transfervalve in primary and have made breather into tranny. Then you can use sporty transmision oil or ATF. -77 and newer cases hasn't that transfervalve and it has breather in a bolt&hose (#34744-77) located in rear mount of engine.

On my '76, I always had to adjust the clutch twice. For some reason, it would always slip after the first adjustment and then it was fine after I did it again exactly the same way.
