Had the exact same issue from the beginning. This is my first Harley ('17 RGS) and I had the 4.5" RCX pipes and SE air cleaner installed before I took delivery. I assumed the problem was related to whatever they did with the tuner, but 2000 miles later they finally figured out that the intake seals were leaking. Once they were replaced, the bike began running how I believe it's supposed to - when you let go of the throttle, the revs drop. It also had a tendency to stall out coming to a stop, but that doesn't happen anymore either. I can only assume it came from the factory that way since the bike only had 20 or so miles on it and I was the first owner.
Have the dealer (or do it yourself) look for slow or minor oil leaks (if there is such a thing) - that seems to be how they found the problem. I wish I could tell you more, but I am now really enjoying the bike like I hoped.
Very good point.. It something that cam be ignored on new bikes.. It should be check for.

Ok fellas !!! So this weekend I rode out to Long Island from bk then to Staten Island to see the fight. Half way in the belt parkway the bike felt super hot and felt sluggish it lost the 114 ***** ... got to my friends house and let the bike cool off by the time I went home the bike ran like a beast again by then it was cooler and the engine had cool off .. I took the oil cap to check my oil level it kinda smell burn .. any ideas ?????? Also I washed the bike and shine the bike before the ride .. I noticed that at the end of the night the primary case had some dust on it like white dust and black underneath the bike .. don't know if that means anything ... I also noticed when I turn the bike on but don't crank the engine the check engine light and the oil light stay on until I crank the bike .. I remember those lights turning off before .... forgot to mention prior to this incident, I took my bike for its first service and they forgot to fill the coooling fluid so half way home the temperature light and check engine light turned on took the bike back ... after that I noticed a leak on the bike took it back they fixed the problem, few days later rode out two hours into Long Island when it was time to come back home I didn't have no clutch pressure and a smell of burn oil was coming out the bike when we pushed it to the garage left the bike there dealer picked it up .. first they told me clutch was gone then they said only the fluid got burn not the clutch so they changed the master cilynder and the actuator. Picked it up a week later riding home I noticed the bike running hot I didn't check then I check the following day the headers was not connected to the engine no nuts on the bolts .. brought it back to the dealer they fixed that. That was A Monday .. and now Saturday with the issue I started the post with ...
btw I took the bike to a different dealer this time.

You sure about that???? If the ignition is on but the bike isnt running, then you have no oil pressure, thus the warning light will stay illuminated. Kinda hard to have oil pressure if the motor isnt running.

Prior to this I remember both coming off only neauteak would stay on .. what yours do ?
As of 2 minutes ago,,,,,They both stay on while the ignition is on but bike not running. If they went out, it'd be going back to dealer to be fixed.
I think you have to be mistaken. They are warning indicators...indicating no oil pressure when the ign is on.

Yes i agree all these issues got me bugging I went back to an old video I recorded when I first got the bike back in April
This I'm sure of the oil light turns off then turns back on before cranking. And that's what's throwing me off
sounds like the clutch switch is failing, next time the idle acts up see if your bike will start in gear with the clutch lever pulled in.
Thanks for the idea sixguns! In fact my cluctch switch is failing, my Ultra will not start in gear with the clutch engaged and it always did before this occurred.
Picked up my Triglide from the dealer yesterday. New cam and oil pump and fluid change. Oil lamp problem fixed. A big thank you to Cool Springs HD service department, and to the tech that did the good work.
You're very fortunate to have gotten your Triglide back in just 5 days with the oil press light/oil pump issue. If you read the posts (pg 51-54 or so) most of us with this problem have had to endure long periods with our bike in the shop while the mechanics go through the long and tedious troubleshooting steps of replacing sensors and O rings before finally coming to the conclusion that the oil pump has to be replaced; all because the MoCo refuses to put out a service bulletin on the issue. I'm curious as to how your service department discovered and rectified you oil pump issue so fast. My bike has been at my dealership for 11 days now and they are still troubleshooting (this after a 3 week wait to get an appointment).
I had to wait several days for an appointment, due to wife's work schedule. Svc. mgr. advised that several things had to checked before any hard parts(oil pump) could be ordered. They discovered the bad cam(part number was one of a bad run of cams from a supplier)and the oil pump was also replaced. There was a week wait on the cam and pump from HD. The Svc. mgr. kept me advised of the process/progress throughout the 2 week ordeal. Yeah, 2 weeks sucks, but fixing the problem came first. I had to cancel several trips because I didn't want to chance breaking down on the road.
