but i love new engine , more torque , then 103 , chassis great , overall love the bike !
M8 problems

I have had 4 oil leaks and the engine has a ping under hard acceleration, dealer has fixed oil leaks, hose and clamp replacement hand oil ncoolern feed port from the front ofnengine under the pressure switch but they say they cant hear the ping running 93 octane fuel no ethanol still has ping. 17 Road glide special

17' FLHX 6th gear went out on Interstate I'm a little over 2k miles, barely past first oil change and loving my M8. I'm cruising down the interstate in 6th and all of a sudden the bike started surging rough. At first I thought it was electrical and the engine was intermittently cutting out. Then realized 5th gear was fine but 6th started to rattle and slip and grab so I rode it to HD in 5th at a reduced speed.
The dealer said they test rode it and checked it out and they are putting a new gear-pak in the tranny. I don't know what failed but should have it back soon. Hope it didn't extend any issues to the primary.

Was curious why you posted this in an "M8 problems" thread? Nice looking bike but did you have a problem with it?

4600 Miles on mine with the stage 3 114 kit. all mikes done in 5 days from Wisconsin to Key West and back. Had a cracked head( do not know if it was like that or happen doing 114 kit. Engine is very easy to work on

you cant say for sure with outer people having same problem dealer in IL had 2 with the same problem

That may be. But yours is the first case I've heard of about cracked heads when going with a Stage III kit.
