Evidently there are always some problems with a newly designed mechanical device such as the M8 engine/transmission. Will HD monitor these problems and make any changes to the M8 engine/transmission on later production models in 2018 ? Or just fix the units now that have a problem under warranty ?
Jumped on bike with wife to head out for an evening ride after work. Made it to corner and Oil light pops on, hit display says 1psi I didn't even know it could read PSI on the M8. Then it went to 2 dash's then add oil. Check oil its below the add marks. And I see oil at base of cylinders. Dealer just came and got it. I have 9800 miles and have no issues till now 2017 Road Glide Ultra.
Yep...sumping! I bet the find the crankcase full of oil instead of the pan. Sad.
Maybe stupid question, but I noticed in the images above that the EITMS is enabled.
I'm almost positive someone here has discussed this before, but is there any definable correlation between bikes that have the sumping or oil psi issues in general, and those same bikes running the EITMS?
Just curious...personally I hate using it. Hate the way it sounds sitting at stoplights in town. lol

Dealer found the air cleaner drenched in oil. They die test and nothing leaking or anywhere it didn't belong. Oil was below fill mark. They found no issues with oil pressure. At this point I have it back and see what happens I guess.

Hang on a minute,
Isnt research and development what the moco does when they design and build and test before they put the engines in new bikes on the market. Or is R&D what you guys are doing with ya failing engines?
