my bad. Was a while ago that I had read something relating to the MoCo's new venture involving assembly and manufacturing of their machines. And thought at the time I posted, that it was a 100% effort taking place in India.
Turns out I'm partially right. http://www.motorcycle-usa.com/2012/0...ikes-for-less/
Apology accepted Splaaatster, shoot I've been to India a few times and what a shambles it is.
My LCD thermometer on the dipstick showed 312 F while doing about 55mph on the interstate. I also have some oil I am going to have analyzed. It has been in the engine for about 10 days/ 200mls. We shall see what that says.
And BTW, it was dark, in like DARK!

Broke new engine in (3k mls), works fine so far.
just FYI:
On repair order/invoice for original engine, tech stated: FRONT OIL JETS LOOSE, REAR OIL JET MISSING ONE SCREW.
Engine came with new oil pan, which according to dealer is not normal.
I guess missing one screw was justification to replace engine and pan. Where ever the screw might have end up. Tech did not tear into engine any further, just sent it back.

New oil pan would be normal if a screw was missing in the motor..
They increased the diameter of the crank pin to make it stronger.. Kinda wonder if some of the stage 3/4 motors that have blown up haven't twisted / spread the cranks tho.. Spec for runout is still loose.. 12 thou for in case. 5 thou in the stand.
Mine is about to go. Vibrates pretty bad above 3700.
It’s going into a performance shop for a build.
They will check everything as it’s disassembled. I’ll post the crank runout.
If anyone is doin Stage 2 and higher on a Twin Cam. Have the bottom end done.

For stage 2? That's serious surgery on top of a cam, isn't it?

here are the lab results about the oil. Nothing out of the ordinary, according to the lab tech.
