Have 2017 Street Glide about 600 miles on it . Washed it and the bottom plug wire pooped right off . Noticed the plug wire was corroded and burnt like it never was on from the start . Couldn't get the wire back on - it's one of the worst designed plug wire I've ever seen . It's locked it with some cheap metal clip . Anyway I'm a little pissed and signs are on that wire that it was never on right from the start . Just broke the motor in so now of course I'm worried if it broke in right with the front cylinder have a firing issue . Wanted to ask HD dealer to give me another bike ?? Any feedback here ??
You don't need another bike. I'm sure they won't give you one. If you didn't feel it missing then it was getting fire.
I just bought my first new bike. 2017 Ultra limited. I got the stage one upgrade with black Street Cannons, black head pipe covers, and black front end. I have faith in this new engine and really don't expect any problems. I will update if there are any issues. Should get it by middle of next week...hopefully. Its got the heated grips and I have lots of cold weather gear so as long as there's no ice on the roads I'll be riding. Big upgrade from My 2000 Ultra. \../
The only problem that I seemed to have had on my trip to Daytona was that the bike seemed disappointed when I let off the throttle. Love the power. Ran flawlessly.
Ran into an issue yesterday. Got caught in a pretty good rainstorm (Middle TN) and my headset cut out, I assume due to moisture in the plug. Got home and blew it out and wedged to plug cap open to air dry. This morning plugged it in and worked like a champ. Wondering if it may be a good idea to put some dielectric grease in the plug.

Barely broke three thousand miles this week, ridden her through dirt (detour road didn't say anything about dirt), heavy rain, 200 plus mile ride in the dark loaded up with the better half, tour pak & stuff on top of tour pak.
Bike performs flawlessly, no issues (knock on wood!) so far, got the 1k, 2.5k, 5k, 7.5k, & 10k service "free" from dealership. Figured by then the bike should be plenty broken in & issues (if any) sorted out.
Lovin'it!!

Ok, I gotta ask... how much did that tour pack set you back? I love those leather looking ones...
