Want to give an update on the issue with my oil light coming on at idle. Talked to the dealer today and they are going to replace the oil pump and all of the related oil pump assembly. I am happy that they have opted to replace the oil pump and not just swap the oil sensor out for the second time. The downside is the Moto company is back ordered on the replacement parts and will not ship them out until the end of next week which means my bike will be in the shop for another 2 weeks. Was told by the dealer that there is so many people having the same problem that Harley is having a hard time keeping the oil pumps in stock. Let say I have a little less confidence in the oil system of the new M8's and would like install an oil pressure gauge. Has anybody installed one on a M8? There a lot of kits out there for the Vtwin engines, but I can't fine on for the M8s.

At this point, not sure the build date. Bought the bike at the end of March and it has been in the shop about half the time i have owned it. If it was here, i would look.

So, after they've replaced the oil pump, new gasket for rear rocker cover and dropped it of, I haven't had time for a test ride. But yesterday I did go for a quick ride.

About 15 mls into it, the water temp light and check engine light came on, As soon as I pulled into a gas station the oil light came on too. Again!

I called the shop and they came and picked up the bike. They guy that was loading the bike ran the strap around the water line on the right hand side. When he tightened it, it started leaking... Great.
Just waiting on them to call me today.

Thannk you

Yeah the oil pumps in the twin cooled bikes is supposedly different than the one in the non-twin cooled bikes.
