Picked up my 17 limited only to turn around and return it after 15 miles. It had an annoying buzzing coming from somewhere up front. it starts buzzing cruising at 50mph. leave it there and no problem found. Pick it up and vibration buzzing still there. Now I can get to about 55mph and pull the clutch in and let it slow down and buzzing comes back. Service dept Writer rides it and he hears it too. Not sure if its the fairing or the front end but it isn't motor related since it happens with the clutch pulled in. I hope they figure it out cause it is annoying as hell
I just bought my first new bike. 2017 Ultra limited. I got the stage one upgrade with black Street Cannons, black head pipe covers, and black front end. I have faith in this new engine and really don't expect any problems. I will update if there are any issues. Should get it by middle of next week...hopefully. Its got the heated grips and I have lots of cold weather gear so as long as there's no ice on the roads I'll be riding. Big upgrade from My 2000 Ultra. \../
Here it is. Got just over 250 miles since I picked it up last Friday. No issues so far but a small complaint. It should show what gear your in all the time even when the clutch lever is pulled in. That's kinda when you need to know what gear you're in. Don't get me wrong, I've never had a bike with this option, so even having it at all is pretty cool. I absolutely love it so far. I would have more miles but was out of town over the weekend so no riding those 2 days. Got a a few miles everyday since and will put a few hundred on this weekend. I want to get to the 1000 mile service asap so they can put it on the dyno and I can get on it. Sound system is great too. Still waiting for the pipes to sound better/louder.

The system can't display which gear you are in with the clutch in.. It uses the ratio between tach and speed to figure out which gear. With the clutch in there isn't any fixed ratio because the clutch disconnects the input to the tranny. An additional sensor would be required to measure transmission input shaft speed.
Holy mother of goodness!!! I better start watching my CL then. If you want to quickly double (or quadruple) your money, let me know.
Thank you for the offer but this puppy is staying with me. it's my favorite tourpak, note that I don't say that because I have it but truly is.

Oh yes!! Couldn't believe it myself, the gentleman was cool enough to hold it for me since I have bought other stuff from him. He also had some Road King CVO bags, they had a chrome strip on the side, never seen them before, left them behind since I had no use for them, kind of regret it now but can't win them all.
=)
the new bikes seem well thought out + designed, seems most issues are related to assembly!! possibly the new cheaper hourly workers that replaced the higher paid older experienced workers HD laid off NOT COOL!!! at least dealers are getting things fixed with only inconvenience + no out of pocket costs!!
