We need an update on the header install. I'm debating on ordering the MX and having it thrown on with a dyno run at the 1K service.

Going to be a week or so before the parts are in so I'm anxiously waiting trying to find sound clips of this setup.
Dave, just traded my 09 CVO Road Glide for a 18 CVO Road Glide.......did you have Fullsac redo your stock mufflers and used them or did you go with different slip ons? I had the V&H power duals and OS 4.5 slips ons on my 09, sounded great, good numbers on the dyno on the 09, 94HP and 112TQ with the SE race tuner. I was leaning towards the V&H power duals again and S&S MK45's. Thanks
I did the Fullsac MX head pipe, then I installed Fullsac 2.25" baffles in my CVO mufflers along with the Tech matt and screens to hold it in place. TTS tuner with Brandon doing the tune.
On the 110, my 09 I originally had V&H exhaust, but a tuner showed my I picked up 4 torque and 3 HP with the Fullsac system. Been running fullsac since. Even on my build 13 CVO King, I'm at 138.5 HP and 140 torque with Fullsac.
I do hear the MK 45's are better than the High outputs I had on my 09.
I'm running the fullsac mx header with the 2.0" OEM Recores and it's awesome! The torque is there right away. It pulls from a stop so much easier now. Still trying to determine if I like the sound of the OEM mufflers with the 2.0" recores from fullsac. Sounds a lot better then stock and I'll leave alone this year. The head pipe is quality! Worth the money!

I used the stock cans with the Fullsac 2 cores when we did the cam testing. I didnt care for the sound. I think it would be a lot better if the cans had some matting like the Fullsac tech mats. I dont know if they will work in the stock cans, but there should be a way to do it. Im not a big fan of slash down tips either, but thats just a personal preference.
I have a question about the crossover mounting. Is the crossover mounted using two bolts from the oil pan? I had and S&S setup that used four bolts from the pan to mount the bracket and all of the bolts broke. Is that a petentioal issue with this header?

Did you tune the bike with anything, or is it stock with that pipe on it and that's all. Stock air cleaner?

From what I can tell from the photos on the Fullsac website, there is no mount on the X-pipe crossover for the M8 models. The earlier TwinCam X-pipe has a mount just like the stock mount it appears.
So 8 hp and 3 tq for 700 bucks I may be wrong but I think if you decat the stock pipe you'll get the hp maybe tq may not change much but cost nothing but a little time.. The stock headpipe seems to be doing a pretty good job with a cat in it
I thought the same thing about removing the cat from the stock headpipe until I watched this video of a stage 3 upgrade using a Red Shift 468. There is a pronounced dip in torque early on due this headpipe.

You're assuming too much. I would say the mufflers are causing the dip, not the head pipe.
Here is my bike with a decatted head pipe with the RS468. It has the stock muffler cans with Fullsac 2" cores. The mufflers do make a difference.
As you can see it made good torque and it made it early without a dip. I'm not saying the stock header decatted is the best pipe to use on a stage III, but from the torque and hp they made with is it doesn't look bad. Some mufflers with a little more back pressure would move the torque curve to the left and should get rid of the dip.
When Steve Cole and I were testing cams he had the TTS150 cam in his M8 107 with the Fullsac X pipe and his torque curve came up very quickly compared to mine with the same cam. So a good aftermarket pipe can make a difference, but the stock pipe is pretty well designed. Again, the mufflers make a lot of difference also.
