The replacement parts listed in the service bulletin M1450 - are they for new gerotors or for a complete pump assembly? I assume the cam plate remains the same?
Stage IV.... waiting to see what dealer says. Called yesterday and said tech has checked everything and didn't find anything wrong. I asked if he checked for sumping because every symptom sumping causes I had. Hopefully will hear something today. I went with everything SE for this reason so I hopefully won't get any hassle.
The TSB says dumping occurs under extended high RPM operation.
Does anyone know how high RPMs and how long is extended?
80 mph in 6th is only, what, like 3,000 RPMs? That's not really high RPM.
One guy on here says he can make his bike sump at will. Stay under 5,000 RPMs = can ride all day; go above 5,000 and it will definitely sump on him. Now, whether that applies to your situation, your bike, your oil pump, etc., that remains to be seen. But I think 3,000 is likely not going to be much of a problem, I think it's 5000+ that qualifies as "high RPM".

Thanks! I occasionally touch 5,000 RPM...but only when Im getting on it, and dont keep it there very long.
After reading the service bulletin this is going to be the end of Harley. They are delivering crap product to their die hard customers. I hate BMW but they have first time quality and 160 hp stock

sure they have their issues as well, and when they do and you're touring thru Wrong Turn, West Virginia and the nearest BMW m/c dealership is 987.3 miles away, well...there's that

I always wanted a BMW and will still get one probably 2nd year of the K1600BGA, but -- that 160 hp stock is "crankshaft" 160. Look at actual dyno runs on the K1600 and it's more like 135 hp to the rear wheel, and their 129 torque claim is more like 110 ft/lbs at the rear wheel. The BMW's still fast, and smooth, and wonderful and all, but their claims shouldn't be taken at face value any more than Harley's or any other manufacturer. They're claiming crankshaft torque (129) that isn't all that different from Harley's claim on the M8 114 (118 ft/lbs). It's more, yes, but it's not the gigantic gulf they want you to think it is.
