Torque, baffle size, dyno
many variables to increase or decrease the measurement at that particular time. Plus accurate calabration is another consideration as well as temperatures, altitude, tire pressure even tie down strength. If your getting a dyno or just had one remember it is s very gross measurement. It is wonderful for setting air:fuel mixture but very general for power. So keep that in mind and don’t put a lot into dyno measurements. They can thrill you one day and disgust you the next day. What is much more important and any tuner worth his salt will tell you is they are looking for streetability not max power. Lots of power is a sure turn on but not much fun if it impacts how your bike responds and is unmanageable on the street. I have actually seen guys almost come to blows over stupid dyno charts.
Butt Dyno Specs:
Stock OEM: No throttle wheelie, barely extend forks.
Stage I: Extend forks. Clutch wheelie became real.
Stage II: Will throttle wheelie if traction is there, roast tire if not there.
I'm good!
More noise = more power
More money spent = more power
The ONLY way to quantify your efforts is to accurately measure the results.
95% of the time a dyno will reveal unnecessarily rich running.
If you feel you spent enough money and read enough product marketing hype to eliminate the need to actually KNOW what you have rather than assume your ears and asses are accurate enough...I don’t understand yet see and hear this every day.
No offense intended,
Bob
