Torque, baffle size, dyno
I have the 447 cam, Street Tuner, Heavy Breather, stock head pipe, V&H Eliminator 400 slip ons.
The one thing I wasn't able to do before the run was fresh gas. It seems to still be winter here, so the gas is from October. May have cost me a bit, but I wouldn't think much.
I was expecting my torque to be in that 108# range, and it is. I was expecting my HP to be about 95, it's a bit lower at 90, but I don't really care about that.
What I did find concerning was my low end torque. In the 2500-3000 RPM range.
I was expecting about 10# more. Maybe it is what it is, but I am wondering if the 2 1/2" baffles in the 400s are killing that low end?
I am considering a switch to Street Cannons if they will pick that up, but I sure don't want to spend the $ if not.
If you really want to improve the numbers...change the camshaft and tuner to an aftermarket.
A few pounds I wouldn't worry about, but if I'm leaving 10# on the table in my riding range for the sake of the cost of slip ons?
I think the Street Tuner is your bottleneck. After your warranty you could try a different tuner.

If someone said to you, here, buy this part for $300 and you can gain a solid 10# of torque in the 2500-3000 RPM range, who wouldn't buy it?
That is, IF, the slip ons are holding me back. If it's the tuner, oh well.
