Am I missing something here? The mechanic left a rag in your motor, you made it less than a mile from the dealer, and the motor seized. You're wondering why they want to rebuild the motor? Seriously? What else would they do to it?
It has nothing to do with how many miles were on it when you dropped it off. They left a rag in it. It's fu**ed.
yes I understand its ****ed but the bike is brand new so I was thinking new engine or new bike
I'd say then that's worthy of a new engine, not a rebuild
how can I make them if they dont want to? They have said no to the new engine and Milwaukee said it was up to dealer since it was human error. I think a lawyer will probably cost as much as a new engine

try and see if you can escalate the issue, get an email address somehow from their contact information..don't trust the customer service rep to open a case #..and at minimum as i mentioned earlier, demand a 7 year ESP..their current position on this might be tough for a lone consumer to overcome..but after the rebuild I would think if it wasn't quite right issues would manifest themselves sooner rather than later, and if they do later you have the warranty coverage..it totally sucks..still struggling with how someone could be so absent minded on such an important and expense project
