You dont know how the TPMS sensor is working hm?
They only measuring wheel spin with usual G-Sensor, temperature and pressure.

Why are you worried about bracing? Every rim looks different.
In the sensor is a nut with which the valve is fastened. There is a rubber seal on the valve. The valve presses the rubber seal on the rim and seals. The spring presses the sensor into the nut. The sensor is locked with the nut and cant rotate in the wheel. You can do it with any hole. That doesn't matter. The rim plays no role at all.
It’s the same like a usual Aluminium valve stem with a nut which you get on eBay for example.

Tire Watch is an aftermarket system with the same Sensors. This system fits on all rims.
You can google for triumph TPMS or Kawasaki TPMS. They use the same sensor but the wheels are completely different.

you can also see my photo with the sensor into a goldwing wheel. Fits also. But the rim looks also different.

The sensors are not locked for CVO rims. Fits on all rims!

Harley, Kawasaki, Triumph and Tire Watch have the same Sensors. Manufacturer is LDL in France.

I also activated TPMS successfully on my bike and also successfully paired the sensors to my bike. They accept the coding.

Conclusion: 1. TPMS fits on non CVO rims too and seals. 2. It’s possible to activate and pair the sensors to my non cvo with correct BCM.
3. when i do my first ride i can show you a photo of my radio screen with the pressure to convinence you as well craig.

Can the LDL sensors be sourced from someone other then Harley or is there something specific to/about the ones they are using?

I have a 2018 SGS, so all I would need to buy is the sensors themselves?

After install ther dealership would then need to program my stereo?

The sensors look the same. They would fit to our rims too. But i dont know if there is any specific coding that only ones from Harley are working.
In a german Kawasaki forum they tried to pair the sensors from Tire watch with his Kawasaki. But that didnt worked.
I dont know if its possible to pair Kawasaki, Triumph, Honda or Tire Watch Sensors on a Harley.
But the sensors from Harley are the cheapest of all.

I have a diagnostic software (Diag4Bike). Its similar to the Harley tech software.
With that i can activate this feature.

If you dont have an own diagnostic software like Diag4Bike or Technoresearch Centurion you need to activate and pair the TPMS sensors by your dealer.
