To celebrate the one month anniversary of the 2019 FLHT in my garage, she and I went on a little ride. Started at 5am Saturday morning and back home at 1am Sunday. 1,219 miles, five states and LOTS of bugs. Only stopped for gas, snacks, bladder maintenance and map reading.
This is the second M8 I've owned and I ride them just as hard as anything else ever. If it was going to break, it would have yesterday. Ran at 3k rpm all day with blasts to three figure mph passing on the two lanes. Hotter than Hades most of the day running through Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico and Colorado.
Just sent in the paperwork to the Iron Butt Association for my patch. Even though I put songs on my phone and took the earbuds, I didn't listen to a single song on the trip. Didn't miss it at all. I did use the google maps feature on my phone a couple times, worked way better than the navigation I had on the 2014 FLHTK. I still prefer paper maps though.
Congrats. Just curious if you already had the primary vent installed and/or if you checked the tranny fluid prior or after considering the continuous rpm’s.

No primary vent installed, dealer didn't know what I was talking about. Haven't checked fluids since I got back, but I did install the fat clutch rod at 1000 mile maintenance same as my first M8. I'm sure it is fine.
That's quite an accomplishment and I like your attitude. Do you do anything special to keep fit?
I just try to stay active and eat right. No soda or foods with more than five ingredients. Avoid white sugar, white flour and fried potatoes. When I want something besides water to drink, I'll have a beer. It's a vegetable too!
