I just put a new Darkhorse compensater in my 2019 FLHT. Going by memory I used red on the compensator bolt and blue loctite on the clutch nut. I did at least get the torque correct on both. Later I learned the HD manual calls for red on both. So the question is do I just run it with blue or remove the clutch nut and put red on it. I did torque to high side of the spec 80 FT lbs.
I always figured you the type to advocate no manual, and just do whatever feels good, hedonistic approach to wrenching. Probably don't even where pants when working on a hot engine
I do have a genuine factory manual. The problem is I thought I could read it a week before I did the job and still remember everything. Getting old and stupid I guess. So Dan89 you don't use red on anything even the comp bolt ? I also have a question on the outer primary cover bolts. The manual shows torque to 144 to 156 in lbs. Seems high to me ?

If you take the cover off regularly go to 120 inch lbs max with dab of anti seize instead of loctite or youll be repairing pulled threads by the 5-6th time with the cover off
