My cousin just picked up an 81 Wide Glide in great shape and has had a lot of new work done to it.
It has an almost square & polished oil filter housing that holds a round filter. The access door is on one end and is held by 4 screws.
I remember seeing one a long time ago ('80's) on a sportster. Can't find out how made it, what it is and/or if it's a POS.
I have one of those laying around here somewhere. you take the screws out and there should be a shovel style cartridge oil filter in there. it acts as an oil cooler too.

Yeah. Have to clean the filter with brake clean.
The way the filter tube sets in the housing with the inner hole and spring, the oil is pumped through the inner hole, then through the filter media which is somewhat like the old brass gas filters, I'm just not sure it's a good system since there's not a lot of them around. So was looking for who made it and any maintenance info.

Thanks
I don't know who made it. I got it in a box of stuff when I bought the shovelhead.
