Default Thinking about going dino

Located in the norcal area. Sometimes find myself riding in 100F temps. Have been running 20W50 Amsoil I'm my M8. Been thinking about going dino oil to quiet top end. Say spectro, valvoline vr 1, or Lucas? Change at 2k or 2500? Thoughts?

If you try the Spectro 25/60 wt . Post a review after you run it for a week or two . And tell us if it worked on the sound problem.

The VR -1 is a very good Dino oil, and the twin am seems to like it.

I'm leaning towards VR-1 or Spectro depending on availability in my area. Anyone with M8 running either of these in hot climates?

I run the Spectro 25w60 in my 2015 Road King. I'm in the Northeast, where temps rarely go beyond the 90s and I really don't ride when it's below 45 - 50 degrees. Compared to the Mobil 1 V-Twin oil that I previously used, the valve train is significantly quieter. My oil change interval is around 4000 miles since I average about 8000 miles per season and I do a change at the midpoint and end of each season.

That's good to know that it quiets it for you. Looking to do the same I hope

I have read that the high zinc in VR1 is not good for the cats? I have been leaning towards it as I cant find spectro in my area.

Although, I plan on swapping out my mufflers soon and will be rid of them probably

Nothing better than Spectro 25-60 when it comes to noise.
