Is Angeles Crest Highway Open?

Anyone know if the Angeles Crest Highway open yet? I haven't ridden the whole length in a few years.

I was thinking about taking Hwy 39 all the way up to Angeles Crest, and then east to Wrightwood.

I was up there about a month ago, havent heard of it being closed since last year.

Have not been to the Crest in a few years. Check the Caltrans site. Too much mischief for me up there on sport bikes. All the way to Wrightwood as fast as I could go. At least once a week on a weekday of course so as to avoid the authorities.

I got a response on another forum.

They said it's closed, along with the Highway 39. Seems they had a landslide recently.

Going West to East, I've been to where it is closed; several miles past the ski resort, can't think of the name. There is a restaurant/biker stop open up there on the way. Nice ride.

Years ago, we would get hwy 2 off the 210 fwy. Go north all the way back to the I-15 that is a good ride.

I was up there this past weekend. It was closed past the tunnels at Snowcrest. Plenty of bikes at Newcombs though. There was a pretty good sport bike wreck. Looked like the guy got in over his head lowsided.

Yes, I was there last sunday. saw 1 gsxr and r1 or r6 down. And saw bunch of new ducati 1098s.

Now Glendora mt. road is open.
