Since im on a virtually non existant budget i thought id try my hand at rattle canning a few things. Ive never had to paint something that needed to be as flawless as possible so looking for some tips. I think im gonna go with john deer's blitz black and wanna start with painting the brake and clutch levers and if it goes well im gonna move on to the mirrors, cam cover, trans cover, and outer primary.
Here are some concerns:
Most things are polished aluminum so how should i prep?
What primer is recommended?
What about heat from the covers?
Im curious about hd's texture black rattle cans too, worth the cost?
If you're worried about your skills as a painter, try using Plasti Dip. If you end up not liking it, it peels off with no mess left behind. Its like a vinyl wrap in a can.

I love the youtube vids for Deere Blitz Black but would only try them on the tins and not anything else. Too nervous.
