Early Morning light just east of Lewiston

For those that like trains and tresstles. There are lots of them along the way, especially if you are willing to go down some of the side roads

For those that like grades.... this is on the Winston grade. There is almost no where to stop and get a decent pict.....

The White bird grade.... yup, that is it winding down below. Across the valley you can see New 95 grade.

For those that like random crap..... this is looking south on 95.... lots of big and long winding road.

The bridge at the bottom of the New 95 Grade.

Lunch break on the Salmon River.

Coffee break with Jason at the A&W. He had a really nice sportster with some nice tricks.

So tomorrow I am going to head into the deserts of South West Idaho and North Central Nevada. I am confident enough to think I have the FOB thingy sorted out.

What fun. I love the desert. It's basically a desert route all the way from just a bit south of here all the way to Southern California.

Maybe I will get a couple of "Burn Down Days".

I really enjoyed the ride from Boise to Elko but took too many breaks. So I got as far as the Motel 6 in Elko. I will update the day a bit later.

It was a great ride down from Boise to Elko. There are three different parts to the highway. The first part is mostly flat and all desert. That is all the way to the Nevada border, then it chsnges to very twisty canyon roads for quite a while, then once you are at the reservoir it becomes much straighter again, but with big nice sweepers. There is one pass that you climb over and it is about 6,500 ft high. Most of the rest of the ride is about 5,000+ ft in elevation. The air is very clear and sweet first thing in the morning. I never took my jacket off until about an hour out of Elko. Let's look at some Picts....
