Wind therapy.
I hit 89,000 miles on the Limited this weekend. 90,000 is going to come and go this year, but I'm not sure it'll see 100,000 until next year. I haven't been on the bike as much this year, or at least it doesn't feel like it. I've been on the Night Rod more this year and I'm now starting to spend a little more time with my Jeep. The shorter days really do suck. We were on a nice ride yesterday (clicky) and it was dark by 8pm, and the temp dropped 20 degrees, down to 69, after the sun went down. Definitely can't leave home without the jackets these days. From tank top to leathers in just a matter of minutes.
I've been on vacation for the last week and a half, and tomorrow is the last day of it. It looks like it's going to rain a bit, so I may have missed my opportunity for another ride before going back to "grind". I opted for a Jeep ride today.
Time for one last ride, before heading back to the office.
Taking a short break. Diet Dr.Pepper and peanut butter M&M's for the win.
I was only out for 4 1/2 hours, as I was hoping my new winch would show up while I was gone.
It arrived....a day late, but it's on now, so it's all good.

My newt ride day should put the Limited at 90,000 miles.
I hit 90,000 on the Limited on Labor Day. I did the 3 hole service on it yesterday. I plan on riding the crap out of it tomorrow and Tuesday.
The Best of Harley-Davidson for Lifelong Riders
Today was quite possibly the best ride day of the year. Weather was great, roads were great, and I didn't have a care in the world.
I rode over to the Mississippi River, and rode the Illinois and Wisconsin side, then hopped over to the Iowa and Minnesota side. I jumped back over into Wisconsin in Red Wing. I let the bikes gps take me to Eau Claire, Wisconsin, via the "twisty" setting. It did a great job getting me there. The roads were smooth, scenic, empty and TWISTY!!!
Finding a place to eat was a pita, since almost everything was take out or drive through. I found a Culver's that had their outside seating area open, with a phone number posted, so that was the winner.
There are too many pics to post here, so I'll post a link to my webpage, if you care to see any.
Today's ride pics.
I'm not sure what route I'm taking home tomorrow, but I may just head back over to La Crosse, WI, as you just can't beat that area for scenery or roads.
