Wind therapy.
you have his bike, you have his jacket But most importantly, you shared his passion & and you have those memories
he will always ride with you, and no matter what the temperature tomorrow, he will keep your soul and your heart warm, no matter if it is 1 mile or 100.
his jacket will keep your heart warm And his motorcycle will keep your soul warm.
In honor in what would have been my Dad's 79th birthday i took his Night Rod out forva river run. I wore his jacket and chaps as well.
Saw this critter up by the Rockford Airport.
Very nice clear, wind free day.....however it was only 50 degrees.
I believe this may have been the last Night Rod ride of the season.
Night Rod season was not quite over.
Clear, sunny and in the 70's.
The wind was out of the south at 10-15 mph, at best.
So I rode south, into the wind.
I crossed over the Illinois River, west bound, in Lacon Illinois, then headed back north.
I had just a bit over 4 hours of ride time, before darkness would fall.
A good day.
Season ending odometer.
3,889 Night Rod miles this season.
