I have tried several over the years. To me the Harley Hi-Viz is the best I have ever used. I have taken trip where I have been in the heavy rain for over 12 hrs at a time with different brands and H-D wins. I have big feet which mean big grippy boots that will not pass through a leg hole and with the Hi-Viz the side (2-way) zipper comes all the way up to the hips so I can step in the pants then zip down to the ankles to close up. Also I get one size larger because I ride year round and want it to fit over my winter gear. NOTE: what ever you get never put in the washing machine or dryer, hose off and hang dry as this will ruin the water proof coatings.
I picked up a nice compact light weight jacket and pants at Sams some years ago - and it has worked for me the handfull of times I have had to pull it out of the bag. I do not see it on the Sams site, but Galeton has a nice selection at a decent price.
Since no one else has mentioned it I will. I've had great success with Frogg Toggs. Not the low end version that's kind of plastic, but the heavier version. Of course, I dont have the missus to be concerned about.
bought my wife and I the cheapest suits I could imagine ($20) bib overalls and jacket and miraculously they worked good enough. Just a little damp where water got under the helmet. When sun comes out you want to get that stuff off fast as you will sweat a lot. Don't tell my wife you buy really good stuff, she thinks this is how its done.
Having a fairing with lowers makes the difference. If I had a more open cycle I would definitely pony up the dollars.
H-D Raingear. You get what you pay for! EXCELLENT STUFF>
I have had all types and makes of raingear for ATVING, Hunting, Fishing and now riding.I learned a long time ago that you get what you pay for in raingear. All my stuff now is Gore-Tex and my Wifes and I riding suits are HD HI-VIZ. Never had a drop comes thru even at 60mph. Fits well and is well made. We also bought the boot covers and though they are a little bulky do the job of keeping our boots dry.Next boots will be Gore-Tex but for now they work good.

Got caught in the rain on Sunday AM as I was driving My 2018 Heritage through Albany NY. Off & on rain for 100 miles. My HD rain suit was perfect. Glad I bought it last year after Frogg Toggs melted on my Sportster exhaust.
