I have been trying to decide where to go this year but have been unable to come up with anything. I live in Kansas and prefer to go west because my trip will be the end of June and go into July, so I want to go some place cooler. I've been to South Dakota several times, usually staying in Hill City. So I've done all those rides. I've been all over Colorado. Two years ago I went to the Grand Canyon and rode all over southern Utah. I've done Bearthtooth Pass and Chief Joseph Hwy a few times and been to Glacier National Park once. I'd like to find something in northern Utah, Wyoming or Montana. Maybe even Idaho. I'll be on the road for 7 - 10 days. I'd prefer to stay in one place for a few days before moving on, just having a hard time finding good spots.
I should mention, I'm looking for places with tons of good riding. I don't go to check out tourist attractions.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Canadian Rocky sent a bunch of us to Hell's Canyon last year. I would recommend doing that as the destination and alternate the routes in and out from Montana to Idaho. Pick whatever else you want to do in between.

Thank you for the feedback. I think I've heard of Hell's Canyon but never looked into it before. I'll do that now. Thanks again!
Also, how is it going through Yellowstone in the middle of summer? Lots of traffic I imagine. Is it a pain in the *** to go through?

Just wanted to second the recommendation on Lolo Pass. I did that 12 years ago on trip from Boulder, Colorado, to Seattle, Washington. On a 2006 XL 1200.
During the Iron Butt Rally I visited Hell's Canyon, there was some nice riding there.
I also visited Yellow Stone during the IBR, it was 24 degrees during the 3rd week of June. If heading in that direction take your heated gear with you if you have it. I have a friend who got snowed in at Bear Tooth Pass that week
