Default Not "Fair Weather" Riders!!!!

Today, here in southern Michigan many of us had rain on and off all day!

We had to drive down close to Detroit and it was a "downpour"!
A couple of times I experienced some "hydroplaning" so for most of the ride towards Detroit I remained a or under the speed limit.

Once we had arrived home, one of my friends called me to say that he had something to tell me that I probably wouldn't believe!
I jokingly blurted out "motorcycles in the rain", which I think surprised him!

"Yep" he said! Two fully loaded baggers being ridden by two fully "rain-geared" die-hard bikers heading south on I-75 in Auburn Hills, MI----destination unknown

If this was you, or if you know these guys, they have our admiration as we have been in the same situation many times! Safe riding guys!

Rain pretty much divides motorcyclists up into two groups… Those that ride them, and those that hide them

I don't make a habit of riding locally in the rain unless caught out in it but when on a trip we gear up and go to it.Thats why we buy all that crap and sometimes it's kinda fun.

I've been in 46 of the 50 states and I'm pretty sure that I've been wet in every one of them :<(

I do not let the weather dictate if I go for a ride or not; have rain gear, will travel whenever I want. I will intentionally go out in down pours to get the highways to myself around here.

Hey, I've done my "fair share" of riding in the rain.....and a few times in hail and sleet!
For me, there's a big difference in getting caught in the rain vs leaving when it's rain but I've done both plenty of times.

Have been to ALL states but not all on a motorcycle, but I did ride to AK and I did ride in HI !

You live in Florida and Ride much you'll get wet .. If it is serious storming before I leave will pass but have been caught in many and Ride it out unless visibility gets so bad is dangerous to do so ..

When you're 1,500 miles from home, you can't pull over and cry cuz it's raining....

Keep trucking....

Or when you’re on the 101 riding around the Olympic Peninsula on the Wet Coast, and the weather is normal…
