Eleven of us went up and rode the area around the Drogon last weekend. We rode up on Friday, a little better than 500 miles, with half riding and half trailering. We rode the Dragon, Moonshine 28 and made the loop around back to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge on Saturday.
On Sunday we rode the Dragon and the Skyway. Rode back home on Sunday. Great trip, and my longest in over thirty years since I have been without a bike. I put on a little over 1500 miles in the four days.
Great weather and beautiful place to ride.
I have put on a little over 5000 in two months since getting the bike.
You just scratched the surface. There is plenty more where that came from.
Hwy 421 Shady Valley
Devil's Triangle
Hwy 66 (Rogersville Tn) to 33 to 58 to 70 and 11w make a complete loop and a great ride.

I have my own opinion but, I'd love to hear yours. Between the Dragon and the Cherohala Skyway, which one did you like best?
Cherohala hands down IMO! 129 is ok, been there, done that, and got my t shirt. Where the Cherohala dumps out there in Tellico Plains is awesome. I ride Hwy 421/ Shady Valley/ Mountain City almost weekly. Only live about 20 minutes from Bristol. East Tn is the best place to live if you ride!
Was there in July, rode it and got the T-shirt too. 421 the Snake...... hands down was better than the Dragon, but you have to do it from Boone to Bristol because your on it without knowing until you hit the end
Fletch, as others have commented, been there done that, got the t-shirt. The bunch I was with did not just ride the Dragon, they rode the crap out of it. A little above my comfort level at times. I still stayed with the pack. It was pretty intense, a little easier the second day. The Cherohala Skyway was a beautiful ride as was the Foothills Parkway. Great time.
