Well, the boss looked at me the other day and said she thought we should take a trip on the bike instead of going to Sturgis again. Want to get back to see my sister in Indiana, which is the only for sure thing we were planning. What does everyone think about heading from Colo. to Tulsa, Okla. City then across to Memphis and up to Nashville? The only one of those places we've been to is Nashville (me on business). What can we expect for temps? Any other ideas?
Ah yes, the steamy humid midwest in June! Days can be hotter than hell and the nights can freeze your ***** off if your caught without a jacket leaving late at night. A Hoosier transplant here in the Land of Enchantment.....wished I had left years ago!
Why would you goto Tulsa?
I haven't looked at a map. Would that just be a place to stop for the night or is there stuff to see in Tulsa?
My sister lived in Oklahoma for a couple of years, her then husband was in the Army and stationed there, she called it Okla-****ing-homa.
Needless to say, she didn't like it.
So does Oklahoma have some redeeming qualities?

Picking the wife up in Ok. City after her business trip and leaving from there
I would pick up the Talimena Scenic Byway http://www.talimenadrive.com/index.php
and run through Quachita to the Hot Springs AR area. Nice riding. From there hop I-40 and run it up to Memphis, then Nashville. I don't know a good route between Memphis and Nashville, but I'll bet there are better options than I-40.
