110 problems?
That said - many of the posters on this board and the CVO who seem overly Pro-MOCO are in fact Harley employees posting pure bullsh*t to perhaps save their careers. How's the stock doing today fellows? Down 15% in a week!!
My 110 with 7500 miles in back in the shop again for the third time in less than a year. I'm glad your CVORK is perfect - wish mine was.
I've only owned a half dozen Harleys out of nearly 40 bikes over 35 years. I've probably only ridden roughly 200,000 so I don't claim to be an expert. I've got a ten year old Harley in the garage that's been the best bike I've ever had. I will not sell it. But the new 110 is a different story entirely.
Leaking head gaskets/base gaskets--overheating -- primary noises - valve train noises -- die at idle -- paint issues on frame (fading) -- oil comsumption -- poor mileage
Take a look at a 96 inch - it may be a better bike all in all
Is this a pretty good list of the 'issues' to be considered in this class action suit?
Smokin, Well, with all those miles and bikes and Harleys, you could have made a better choice or have a solution to the 110 saga? Nay-sayers have their place, especially when related to the stock market as they tend to keep folks from spending money that they cannot or should not spend thus, they tend to keep some control of a mind-set of the general public. Hell, if everyone was totally upbeat about Harleys, we would have to place an order. The atmosphere is fine - keeps out the riff raff you might say. I've been around a few years too, just don't reminisce that much about the past as some folks do. Still have my first Harley - a 1956 Duo-Glide, runs fine just don't like the starter anymore. This 110 so far has done fine for me and I feel for you that are having problems - but this one is still new too - as I said, only 2000 miles on it...
And I know of a couple of members of the CVOharley forum that are lots of BS too! You probably have encountered them and know which ones they are. I read there often, just don't see the need to join. I have nothing to tell, since my bike is doing OK. Looks like the forum is for bikes with problems.....
I am preparing a case for a Class-Action suit on the CVO 110" issues. Anyone else interested in becoming a party????
Sign me up! I love Harleysbut the07 CVOs have issues! They Leak like stuck pigs. Tell us how your prized position of a 08 CVO Road King is treating you after 5000+miles @ $30,000. Sorry I am just one of the owners thats having problems with my bike, dont mean to take it out on you 08CVORK! I have Replaced the dash due to bubbleing in chrome @2000+mi., Took bike back to dealer when I was cleaning it one day and found that my front tire had dry rott @2500+mi.got it replaced then took bike in for oil leak on rear cylinder between head and barrole@4500+mi. then tach stopped working @ 4600mi. bike is in the shop now for tach repacement, and is leaking oil again from front and rear cylinders between cylinder heads and barroles ,the bike has around 4900+mi now. not to mention the torque recalibration curve and battery cable recall! WTF! I feel a little uneasy for having paid so much for a bike. I would love to ride it as much as it is in the shop. Oh and I forgot to mention the ungodly sound of the valve train , noises from Primary area and stalling all of the sudden @ a stop light!
I have always heard that if your Harley is running good, you better spread your legs 'cause it's about to 'ventilate'!
With that said, I am sure there are many bikes out there with no problems so they have no reason to frequent a board to discuss their issues. I talked to my dealers service rep and he told me that he hasn't seen any CVO's come in for oil leaks.

Does this affect the 110 upgrade kit?
That would be very hard to say for certain since the 110 CVO is an assembly line engine. The upgrade parts as a group are not the same that are used with it so are probably from different sources. I can't see a parrallel so I would say no, it does not affect a custom built engine using upgrade parts from the Screaming Eagle portion of the Harley Davidson MoCo catalogs.
My personal opinion, at this point, is that your success with this motor may depend soley on how good of a mechanic you have do the work.
