I do not know what they use but there has been some discussion on Powder Coat holding up. The guy I use will not guarantee his work for exhaust. He does really good work but he doesn’t think it will hold up on exhaust, he recommended Jet Coating. A guy I have used in the past for Powder Coating before I moved said it would hold up and was actually coating some mufflers last time I was there. Maybe someone with more experience will chime in.

I am using ColorRite base/clear to paint mine. I posted a little while ago to show painted heat shields and how do they hold up with regular paint. They said no problem. Total cost was $40 to paint mine. ColorRite from ColorRite cost about $80 but there is a guy on Amazon selling the 2 can set for $40. Scuff them,, paint them, wet sand with 1500/2000, polish and they come out smooth and shiney
