Question handlebar install

I have a 2012 flhtcuse7. I am looking at installing Wild1 Chubby 10" WO578 bagger apes on my bike. I know the chisel bars are now the most popular but i want to ensure I can see may garmin GPS when mounted. My GPS is mounted on my dash left side. Anyone here installed them? I was looking at the dealer to do it but was n't sure if i need new clutch/brake/switch lines replaced.
I have no issue with adding what is needed. I do have an extended HD warranty for 3 more years so i think having a dealer do it would cover any future issues i would have. I spoke with the service dept already and he told me on the pre rushmore bike i need a new SE wire harness for the TBW and switches. Anyone know the part # for these extended harness. Not sure about the clutch and brake lines cables. I have braided lines as well. Also Chubby bars says to remove 3/8 on the left bar to provide room for the heated grip assembly so that they fit snug to the change in size area on the bars since these are 1" 1/4 . Also are the stock bars 6 inch ? 8 inch" the ones I like are 10". thanks Jeff pic below of a similar bike with the chubby 10"

Sorry I cannot help you about extensions on a 2012 but I had the Wild One Chubby 10” on my ‘17 CVO Limited and now on my ‘19 CVO SG. I’m about 5’11” and wear a 34” long sleeve shirt. The bars for me are really comfortable. Had a dealer that rode my ‘17 say they were the most comfortable bars he had experienced.
Good Luck

Had the WO578’s on my 2016 Limited. The most comfortable bars ever that gave so much control confidence. Good choice.

I got a quote from my HD dealer here in Ontario,Canada last year for my 2012 CVO Street Glide. I cannot find the email attachment but Im quite certain that the parts specialist said it was a straight swap. If you stay with 10” bars, no extensions are needed. On my 2008 flhx I did have to extend the cables and buy the TBW sensor or green plug ? I also had the Zumo Garmin on the upper inner fairing, and they told me cause the wild 1 bars have more pullback they won’t interfere with navigation mount. I was considering LA Choppers 10” but he told that those bars wouldn’t clear because they’re fairly tight up against the inner fairing. I will say that I loved my Wild 1 10” bars. Excellent fit and finish, very very comfortable.

I have 10" LA Chopper bagger bars and I had to relocate gps mount to center of gauges with an Iron Aces mount. Cant tell you about the Wild 1 bars.

Awesome looking bike ! How do you like those LA Chopper bars? I had the Wild 1 10” on my Street Glide and was really happy with them. Do you find those bars to have enough pullback ? They seem very upright and close to the inner fairing.

For the 10" WO bars I did a 4" longer clutch cable. I would assume that the hydraulic clutch line on the CVO would need to be +4" longer too. I have heard of guys re-routing the clutch outside of the fairing but I dont think most of us want to do that. When I had 10" bars I re-routed the wiring plugs to under the radio and it worked fine. I now have 12.5" bars and I went with namz extensions. I recommend these on every bar install I do now. Very high quality product and keeps the wiring where you want it.

As far as the Brake line, with the 10" bars I cut a zip tie close to the steering neck to give me some more stretch with the brake line. 10" is the max you can go and keep the ABS brake line in my experience. Any thing above that and you'll need a longer one.

As far as Wild Ones bars go, the stock heated grips with work just fine. Trim 3/8" of an inch off the left side of the bars per instructions. I did a set last weekend with no issues.

As far as how high the stock bars are, I have heard all kinds of numbers. They dont really have any rise so its hard to really say. 6-8" max?

With the bar swaps I go with this equation as far as longer lines and cables. Others may have had different experiences, but I have has good luck with this. I like to have room to route things where I want without something getting in a bind.

+8" wiring extensions for 10" bars
+12" wiring extensions for 12" bars
+15" wiring extensions for 14" or 16" bars.
^^^ (these are namz extension sizes)

10" = +4" lines/cables
12" = +6" lines/cables
14" = +8" lines/cables
I like Barnett Cables and Lines. High quality and excellent service.
