Default CVO Dealer Prices

I've been buying cvo's since the early 2000's and truly appreciate the paint and finish of the ones I've owned. But even for me, the 2022 dealer prices are jaw dropping! One of my local dealers has a cvo streetglide for sale for $47k, another had the cvo roadglide custom for $48k. You add tax and freight/prep and you are in the $50's.. I can just imagine what the CVO RG Limiteds are going to go for.. My 2021 cvo limited might be the last cvo I buy, I just cant see spending that kind of money for a cvo. But perhaps, thats what Harley wanted to accomplish. making them pretty exclusive.

I know the yellow and orange two tones are somewhere around 3K extra for the paint.. You and I have the same 2021's, and aside from the colors, there's nothing different about the bikes at all that I can see. Of course there's no Ultra this year, but I'm happy with what I have...

Yeah the pricing is crazy. Looking on the HD website the CVO RG Limited is close to $49k.

A local dealership I have traded with calls themselves the "Home of the Pre-owned CVO". They have about 10 side by side all with price tags near and even over $40k used! One thing I have noticed is no one is biting yet. Same bikes for three months.

Glad we purchased both bikes when we did.

They are intended to be exclusive. That’s why you can’t just buy the paint at a dealer.

The idea of a new CVO is nice, but I like mine just fine right now...it's paid for.

In 09 when I started buying CVO bikes, 7 of them so far there was a lot more difference between the CVO and the model it was based on. Also up though about 17 CVO held it value better of trade than it does now. They also started removing things, My 09 CVO RG came with passenger back rest, quick detach hardware. My 2012 did not have that. Then they removed CB's, and recently removed XM. Engine size kept getting close to the Special models, and now its no bigger than the ST models. All the while the price keeps going up. Crazy adding 3000 on top of MSRP for paint. Un like regular models no choice between blacked out or Chrome, you take the finish that comes with that color. Then you get a CVO paint color released on other bike, Gunship Gray.

Not sure the uniqueness, the extras, and the motor are now worth the extra 15K or more. When I bought my first CVO it was only a 10K step up an you got a whole lot more. Now its 15K or more step up and you only get a little more.

I didn't even look at the '22 CVO prices. Are they really pushing $50k? There are far more things I'd rather spend that kind of money on. I think I'll just hang onto the one I got. Going to check into getting the King Tour Pack and back rest.

Depends on the one you are looking at. They start around $41,900 CVO SG/RG and 44,900 CVO RGL then $650 shipping and $1,000 surcharge. I think the trike is $49k plus shipping and surcharge.
Some dealers will make up, dealer in Northern VA has 2 used 2021 CVO RG asking $49,900. They’ve had them several months.

And on most a $3k upcharge for paint right?

Just the orange and yellow. I bought Steel Blue, no paint upgrade cost. I think the CVO RGL in Danta’s Fade doesn’t have a paint up change.
