I have been riding it very gingerly. I am only allowed to go to 3000 RPM till 50 miles and then 3500 RPM till 500 miles. It's has a ton of torque and the power delivery is very linear. The engine never seems to lug and I find myself late to down shift. It seems to have more torque than the 131 that was on my RoadKing.
The new suspension is really really good, Its the first touring frame Harley that I will not be changing the shocks on. The handling is light and quick on its feet. If you're used to the weight of a Harley touring bike this one feels nimble.
I love the new display and infotainment. My eyes can read the huge font. The system is intuitive and easy to use. You can overlay weather radar over the GPS map. A garage door opener is standard.
The Seat sucks and an unexpected surprise The seat feels like plywood but has good ergos. The bars are taller than they used to be, and are comfortable. I assumed since the only things that haven't changed were the rear fender and the frame that 2009 and up seats would fit. They do not. The tang that comes off the tank is 1/4 inch wider than the openings in all of the seats that I have. I was able to modify the opening on the front of my Heated and cooled hammock seat. Unfortunatly the seat puts a ton of pressure on the side covers and sits on the dash in a way that makes me think it will damage the paint. the HD website says the Sundowner fits it but it does not. I either need to put some 3M protective film on the panels that are affected by the seat or wait for someone to make a new seat for it. It is the best Harley I have ever had and I have had several.
More pics to follow and I will keep updating as I make changes.
