Default New '08 SERK Owner

Hello everyone! New SERK owner here. Went to HD shop over the weekend to just hang out and BS with some friends there and came home with a new black diamond/silver dust SERK. My father has had his '07 SEUC for little over a year now and loves it and I used to ride it from time to time but it sure is nice owning my own CVO. I have only been able to put 200 miles on it so far but just have one question about the rear brake. When I am about to come to a stop, the rear brake gives off a high pitch squeel or squeek. It doesn't do it at higher speeds, only that last few feet and mph just before you stop. Is this normal for the new Brembo brakes for break-in and will go away or do I have a problem? I checked the rotor and brake visually and didn't see any problems.

Mine did the same thing with under 100 miles, I put on some lyndall pads, no squeak, but haven't rode it that much. They don't seem to grab as much compared the stock ones though. They don't have the dust either.

Congrats. I wouldn't worry aboutthe brake squeakat this time during the break-in. I've had bikes before doing this, often caused by some kind of minor grit or substance on the rotors. No problem except for the sound. Often the squeak disappears over the miles and brake usage. If still present at the break-in service I'd have it noted.

Have similar issue with 04 Fat Boy. Only squeals at very slow speeds when stopping. Not as bad when pads replaced and seems to be weather related with humidity. I think it may be related to the pad material, but more to the rotor surface. It is annoying, but I don't think it is a safety issue.
