I ride with a bud that ordered an '09 FXSTSSE3.
Now I'm not beggin' for a critique on the bike.
All we're wondering though is this.
He ordered it here in Tx from a pretty large stealer about two months ago.
The problem is he doesn't have a hint of when the delivery date is. Best the stealer can give him is they'll find out the VIN two days before ship date. Then they'll call him.
Other than that, they aren't talking.
Question; Is this normal M.O. when ordering a CVO from the moco ?
Secondly, another stealer on the other side of town has the exact scoot sittin' on their floor but wants $3k over MSRP (he got MSRP ) but they won't trade with the first dealership.
I'm waiting for my second bike to get delivered. Both this dealer and the other dealer claimed they could not track a shipment. I have the vin# in hand from military sales. Military sales said it shipped on the 10th of Nov. Tomorrow will be 8 days and still no bike. It kills me I can track a shoe box on UPS or FEDEX but not a $30,000 bike from Harley. Dealer just leaned back and said he would call when it came in.
I had the VIN # months ago. With military sales they have the info from HD quick. The bike was suppose to be delivered in Feb. I sold my other one quick so I moved up the delivery date. The delivery date is suppose to be 26 Nov. The bike was built in July.
Military sales had several 09 CVO RG's onhand. Paid $29,700 for it. If you are deployed or stationed over sea's it is a great deal.

Sounds good. My bud just phoned and said he finially got a target delivery date of Jan 18, 2009. Add that to the two months so far & you get a four month delivery from date of order. Dang
I found that every dealer I spoke with gives a different story about CVO's. One tells that they have no idea if and when they will receive CVO's, the next one says that they can't order them and they are just shipped and it's their surprise when they get one, the next dealer will tell me that the red/maroon Ultra's won't be seen anywhere until spring. In fact the dealer where I purchased my red/maroon Ultra told me a week earlier that they knew for sure that they would not be receiving any CVO's through January 2009 for sure and they didn't know past that date. The next week I walked in and they had mine on the sales floor and one of the other models also. It's really screwed up when you even ask the question since you know the answer is going to made up on the fly. My friend has a SE Ultra ordered at another dealer, but when I spoke to them, I saw their "order" book and he was number 6 in line to get one of these. I know that small dealer will not get 6 of these for any reason. I told him about 3 other dealers that have one on the floor now, and he wants to wait since they quoted him such a good deal. It's easy to keep him hanging for a good deal when they can't get him the bike. I told him there is a reason no other dealer will match his quote. They figure that if they ever do get to him, then they will start the deal all over again and toss out the numbers they gave him. It's a shame. I'd really like to see him get one.
