Which Ultra?
I have the opportunity to buy either a '08 CVO Ultra:

or a '10 CVO Ultra:

or neither

On inspection of the two ads here, I like the colour and level of trim on the '08, and the price too.
My question is, are there any issues with the '08 models that were sorted out by the '10 model?
Thanks in advance for any information or advice.

I loved that color combo and also the fact that it is an Anniversary Edition year.
However, as the other guys have stated, the '10 has some better points.
How many U.S. dollars is 299,900 "R's"?
The 08 has ABS & Brembos as well, but lacks the stiffer frame, wider rear tire, and many other updates. It has a smoother ride, but the flex in the frame contributes to inferior performance handling compared to the 2010. A aftermarket stabilizer would help significantly.
My heart says 08 but having an '11 frame tells me I wouldn't go backwards.

My circumstances: My lifestyle has changed to the point where I am seldom home and put few miles on a bike. Until 2 years ago I spent huge amounts of time on my bike, and was clocking up in excess of 20,000km a year. Now I am working offshore contracts in the middle east, and the time that I spend at home I don't want to be wrenching, but riding.
I had earlier put down a deposit on a very low mileage '98 FLHTCI for a price of $13580 (local equivalent) but I am delayed here for another couple of months and I think (hope) the guy will refund me, as I was meant to be home to close the deal at end August, now I am only going in November. If he holds me to the deal, I will be spending a lot of time getting the bike up to where I want it.
Every month that I delay going home improves my financial ability to get this bike. Whatever bike I do get, I will be doing the Cyclepedic Seat (momma has a very bad coccyx) aftermarket stabiliser, oil cooler and the Ward fan as a bare minimum. Cams, breather, exhaust, and maps as may be required.
The 08 is closer to where I want to end up than the others, so wish me luck that the '98 owner cancels!
Thanks again, all,
