Thanks guys. Yes it does have a Tan hue to it - sometimes. Sometimes it looks mostly silver. Sometimes it looks really light - almost straight tan colored. Here is a pic from last night and in this pic it looks more brown. Later at night when it got dark it was tough to imagine the paint could ever possibly look light - until a car drove by and the headlights hit it.
That is Wolverine HD in Clinton Twp, MI @ M-59 and Gratiot. It is my favorite HD dealership and fortunately it is right around the corner from my house. They do have a Orange and Black CVO RK there if you want to see one in person - Tell Rachel or Jon that "Ryan sent me" and mention my recent CVO purchase. They are great people and will take care of you without being pushy in any way.
I bought a 14 CVO road king after passing on a 13. Lowers are for ultras and I thought the sound system (stretch) was incredibly sub-par.
Everything on the 14 is an upgrade, the engine has more power, the coil over rear suspension is the best I've had on a harley, it comes with the upgraded and 1" lower single cartridge fronts that are 10mm wider, the ABS system is improved, the bike looks like a Road King. It does have additions from other bikes likes the lowers-which I don't like with a shield vs fairing.
I originally went to buy (and put a deposit on) a 14 FLHXS and test driving felt the road king suited me better. One of the biggest upgrades on the 14 FLHXS over the FLHX is the same coil over rear as the CVO road king. The FLHXS was awesome too.
The bike handles well and is pretty quick. I had the older 110" in my 08 FXDSE2 so I have a base for comparison.
As for the exhaust, who cares? It sounds as bad as every other stock exhaust and who keeps them anyway?
