Well Saturday 08-24-13 I rode a 2014
C v o road king at a n. y. Dealer.
And let me say that I was NOT impressed.
First ,the seat pushes you forward and was
Putting pressure on my Tail bone.
Second, the motor ( 110 ) has lots more
Vibration and just felt odd to ride.
Third, the new clutch they brag about was
Much harder to engage then my Standard
One on my 2013 road king.
And lastly the ride was stiff and the exhaust
Sounds tinny.
I Definitely was not impressed.
I have a 2013 I'm very happy with and when I saw the titanium colored 2014 CVO I was tempted to try it, just gorgeous. Your post might save me a lot of money
I'll still try one but it is interesting that you weren't blown away by it. Is your 13 stock? I have just a stage 1 on mine, otherwise stock pretty nuch.

yes, the only thing so far have done Performance wise is rineheart mufflers.
Still breaking my motor in.
I think next I will do a stage one upgrade.
Probably this fall.
I did a test ride on a 2013 Anniv CVO Ultra and came away similarly unimpressed. I was there thinking I could get a good deal on the 13 since the 14s were out.
After riding it, I do not know how much they would have to discount the bike to get me interested. I didn't find enough bike there to justify the extreme price.

I noticed the stiffer pull with the hydro clutch than a cable clutch - and wonder what the point of having it is. The hydro clutch on my guzzi and KTM was a way easier pull than this.

Because there is no cable to stretch, no adjustments to make.
Personally I think that the 14's look way better and more like a Road King than the 13's. No disrespect to you good folks that ride the 13's. Those are nice bikes too, but each of the RK colors on the CVO's look amazing to me with the colored front forks... bad ***. As far pipes, seats, etc.... those are easy fixes and what one likes the other doesn't. I really like hydraulic clutches ten fold over the older style.
We all have our tastes, but to me the CVO 2014's were the best out of the CVO for the year... jmo.
Not too big on orange, but I just think these models look like a solid RK.
