Default Paint questions
Hey everyone. Just brought home the newest member of the family...81 FLH! Don't know a whole bunch about it quite yet but I am looking for some answers/advice. I am considering painting the inner/outer primary, rocker covers, etc etc...has anyone does this with success? Or is powdercoating the way to go with these items? I am simply asking so that when I am ready to Paint, I have all items ready to go and I do not need to mix up paint 16 times when I decide something else needs to be painted...any insight, advice would be appreciated.

paint never stays well on aluminum, aircraft uses a special primer that etches into the alloy to keep the paint from pealing - powder coating works but in time also peals

Thanks John, as soon as I read that a little light went on in my head about painting aluminum...this is why they invented anodizing. Sometimes all that is needed is someone to point out the simple stuff...hahaha.
