Starter Shaft Housing Replacement...
So it's back to original equipment. I'm getting an OEM starter housing and I'm going to bolt that back up to the original starter motor. At that point I will mount the new assembly in place and see where I have to go from there. Most likely I will have to take maybe an eighth of an inch out of the case just to make sure it doesn't hit. I'm pretty confident that with going back to the oem parts that this will work with the slightest amount of modifications. The oil tank really isn't giving me that much of an issue. I can manipulate everything to get it all to line up probably and yes I am using roll pins to help align the starter properly... Actually those roll pins were missing maybe that was part of the problem as well. I was told to put studs into the inner primary and just use nuts to attach the starter. Is that the logical way to do it or will 1/4 20 cap screw work just as well once I have the roll pins in position
