Default Neutral Switch Location

Dumb question time...

I've looked through the parts manual for my '75 FXE and I can't find the neutral switch location. I'm sure it's on the tranny somewhere, but I can't see it on the bike and can't find anything to point me at it.

The neutral light doesn't come on sometimes, could be a connection or could be the switch. I can't check the connection at the switch, 'cause I can't find it.

I seem to recall you have a '79.. should be a Cowpie/DairyQueen/Rotary top Tranny
Look on the right side between the engine and trans,, just below the oil tank... Prolly be a trick as I think it will be behind the rear Pipe, and Under the Darn Oil Lines!!!

Edit; DagNabbit wrong on me... You gots that '75? it should be a Ratchet top.. look on the other side [left side] just below the clutch cable adjuster...

Note; Those senders [Oil and Neutral] place a Ground on the line to lite the indicator.
Grounding the lead will tell you if the source of your problem lay in the Wiring...

I have one of those, it goes off ever time I start my bike while in gear.
Shakes and moves the whole damn bike, I hate it.

its the ground for the light but you can add the ground for your starter relay so that never happens to you again
