Thanks guys! I tightened the intake clamps a few turns, and opened the idle screw a turn and it is a lot better. I think the electrical friction tape over the o-ring helped. I will have to re-learn how to do it over. But now I'm going to Jewett City for the annual bike night.
I found a .295 intermediate jet, but not sure if it's from an E or a B. Are they the same?

I guess I thought the '79 utilized the Rubberband Manifolds???
If O-ring, I use 3M electrical tape [one wrap, not friction] Haven't had a leak in Years, but a mess when replaced...

Has more to do with no accel pump than venturing size , fatter jet helps overcome the lean spot the accelerator pump usually handles. Ran B's for years, still have several in box stashed.
