Anybody know part numbers of new QUALITY ignition switchs that arent junk.....used a couple from jp and never was happy. For my own bike...mine works fine but kinda want to be able to lock it...have no key. No numbers i can see.... so new switch time.
71500-36A is the older part # which would be correct for 1970, not sure what other years. They are hard to find, if anyone is holding......................
At Rhinebeck 2 years ago, a guy had one new in the box with the keys, I walked away at $150.00. Next morning I decided it was worth it with keys, all original etc. Saturday morning, guy and the ignition switch are gone. Buy it when you see it. Still looking since then, oh well.
My `89 Softail came with the old style pole switch, just got a replacement from the dealer, I was shocked that they still were available.
Same price from the dealer as that ebay switch posted above.
Part number: 71501-73A
