73 Shovelhead, Hard Cold Start
Seems I need to kick it over several times to build up compression to get it started. When its hot it starts fairly easy and runs really well. Ive put over 50 miles on it so far. It does however, release a little white smoke. Not sure that its enough to be concerned with right now.
I was told the motor had been rebuilt, but I know it did not run since 2014 so it could possibly be a fresh motor that sat a long time. Everything seems to be stock. Tires are 20 years old, allot of tread left so Im thinking its not gone far in the last 20 years according to the odometer, only 4,000 miles and the odometer works.
Parts on bike:
Electronic ignition: Crane HI-4, Race Mode off, Kick Start.
Plugs: Autolight #4275
Compression: FH Cold 58, Hot, 90. RH Cold 65, Hot 88.
S&S knock off carb (works really well) jets, 0295 & .072
Thanks in advance for your advise and Help!
