I'm restoring a 1976 FLH and it seems that there are a few parts missing. Like the emergency flasher switch. This isn't a real problem, 'caus I don't need that. But the problem is that I don't know how I've got to connect the wires now...
Can anyone help me how I've got to connect the green, brown, orange and violet?
To be certain, I've mounted led flasher lamps and I'm running original flashers. Is this going to work like this or do I need to mount something else?
Last question, since the buttons on the handle bar ain't no real switches how does this work? I don't supose that I'll need to keep them pushed in...
Thanx
The only way to make them work is to hold the button in!Those systems did not get advanced till around 15 years later! As far a LED bulb it will work with the standard flasher.Good Luck!
You need to get a "Double pole- Single Throw" switch for the flasher.
The book shows:
The two Yellows go on the two end terminals, one each
Brown from terminal strip and Violet each go to a center terminal
Brown from Handle Bar harness goes to end terminal same side as center Brown
Orange goes to end terminal same side as Violet
And yeah the Turns use a Momentary switch, you have to hold it in.
